Traditional shapes and precise formats

Our coat of arms plaques are available in various basic shapes: round, rectangular, or classic shield form.

The maximum size is 20.5 cm in diameter for round versions and 20.5 × 26 cm for rectangular or shield-shaped variants. Within these dimensions, we create precise cuts and ensure harmonious proportions – whether it’s a historic municipal coat of arms or a modern company logo.

We can also draw on our extensive project experience for custom designs and guarantee a visually balanced realization. The dimensions are chosen to ensure the plaques are clearly visible yet remain lightweight and easy to handle – ideal for mounting and shipping.

Glass construction with classic technique and precise craftsmanship

We intentionally use genuine clear glass as the base material, which not only looks high-quality but is also ideally suited for screen printing. Your design is applied on the back, making it visible through the glass — creating a brilliant, deep effect with a smooth, protected front surface.

Color gradients are intentionally not possible in screen printing to preserve the clear, graphic character of traditional coat of arms designs.

Next, cathedral glass is mounted behind the clear glass. Both glass layers are enclosed with a hand-soldered lead frame, which provides stability and gives the piece the characteristic look of classic stained glass — a design detail with strong visual impact and long tradition.

Long-term protection for outdoor use

If your coat of arms plaque is used outdoors, we offer special protection techniques for long-lasting preservation of the printed image. Our double-glazing solution has proven particularly effective. The print is enclosed between two durable glass panels, protecting it from external elements.

The internal spacing prevents condensation, while the outer layer shields against UV rays, moisture, and temperature fluctuations. This ensures your plaque remains dimensionally stable, colorfast, and weather-resistant over time.

Mounting options for every application

Depending on the intended use, we can supply your coat of arms plaque with or without a hanging chain. The most popular version includes a metal chain — ideal for elegant display on window hooks, in showcases, or on wall arms. The chain is sturdy, discreet, and complements the traditional aesthetic of the lead frame.

The metal chains are also excellent for hanging aluminum nameplates in between, offering enough space for longer inscriptions or dedications.

Color fastness and production

We use only UV-resistant colors made in Switzerland. These special pigments ensure that colors remain vivid and stable even under long-term exposure to light — ideal for window areas or bright interiors. Each color is carefully applied using the screen printing process, resulting in an opaque, even, and durable finish.

The entire production process is subject to strict quality control. This not only guarantees high consistency but also ensures fair production conditions and short delivery routes. Your coat of arms plaque is therefore not just a unique design piece but also a locally made quality product.
