Children

Our services are generally aimed at adults. Persons under the age of 18 should not transmit personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

Integration of Videos, Services, and Third-Party Content

It may occur that within this online offering, content from third parties is integrated, such as videos from YouTube or Vimeo, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds, or graphics from other websites. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) perceive the IP address of the users, since without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for displaying this content. We strive to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for delivering the content. However, we have no influence if third-party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. Where we are aware of this, we inform the users accordingly.

If you do not wish to disclose data about yourself, please log out of your Google account ( https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated) or use a plugin such as Ghostery ( https://www.ghostery.com/de/) to block data exchange. You can find the Google Privacy Policy here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Integration of Videos
Videos may be used both on the website and in the member area or for advertising purposes. Videos are a good way to make content easier to understand. Local hosting of videos is not powerful enough, so we use an external provider for this.

YouTube
We also use YouTube videos on our website. YouTube is a service provided by YouTube LLC (“YouTube”), 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, which is a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Integration of YouTube is done by embedding the service on our website via an “iFrame.” When this iFrame is loaded, YouTube or Google may collect and process information (including personal data). It cannot be ruled out that YouTube or Google may also transmit the information to a server in a third country.

Information about Google’s existing Privacy Shield certification and further relevant details about data processing by Google in the use of Google services can be found in this privacy notice under the section “Information on Google Services.”

By embedding YouTube, we pursue the purpose of presenting you with various videos directly on our website so that you can view them conveniently.

The legal basis for the described processing of personal data is the FADP. Our legitimate interest lies in the significant benefit that YouTube offers. By embedding external videos, we relieve our servers and can use resources elsewhere, which can, for example, increase server stability. YouTube or Google also has a legitimate interest in the collected (personal) data to improve its own services.

Further information can be found in the privacy policies of YouTube and Google, available at: www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Information about Google’s privacy settings can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/take-control.html?categories_activeEl=sign-in

Information on Google Services

We use various services provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, on our website.

More detailed information about the individual specific Google services we use on this website can be found in the subsequent privacy sections.

By integrating Google services, Google may collect and process information (including personal data). It cannot be ruled out that Google will transmit this information to a server in a third country.

As shown by Google’s Privacy Shield certification (available at https://www.privacyshield.gov/list under “Google”), Google has committed to complying with the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework regarding the collection, use, and storage of personal data from Switzerland.

Google, including Google LLC and its wholly owned subsidiaries in the USA, has declared by certification that it adheres to the Privacy Shield principles.

Further information is available at https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/frameworks/.

We ourselves cannot influence which data Google actually collects and processes. However, Google states that, among other things, the following information (including personal data) may be processed:

Log data (especially the IP address)
Location-related information
Unique application numbers
Cookies and similar technologies

If you are logged into your Google account, Google may associate the processed information with your account depending on your account settings and treat it as personal data. See in particular: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/partners/.

Google explains the following, among other things:
“Under certain circumstances, we combine personal data from one service with information and personal data from other Google services. For example, this makes it easier for you to share content with friends and acquaintances. Depending on your account settings, your activities on other websites and apps may be linked to your personal data to improve Google’s services and the advertising displayed by Google.” ( https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/index.html)

You can prevent direct association of this data by logging out of your Google account or adjusting the appropriate account settings in your Google account.

More information can be found in Google’s privacy notice: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Information on Google’s privacy settings is available here: https://privacy.google.com/take-control.html

Google Maps

We integrate the “Google Maps” mapping service from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
This integration results in background data exchange for tracking purposes.
If you do not wish to disclose data, please log out of your Google account ( https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated) or use a plugin such as Ghostery ( https://www.ghostery.com/de/) to block data exchange.
You can find Google’s privacy policy here:
https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Google Ads (formerly: AdWords)

This website uses Google Ads (formerly AdWords) and, within Google AdWords, conversion tracking — an online advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking are analytics services from Google. When you click on an ad served by Google, a so-called “cookie” (a text file) is stored on your device, enabling an analysis of how you use the websites you visit.
The information generated by this cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored on a Google server, possibly in the USA or other third countries. These cookies expire after 30 days.

If you visit specific pages of our site while the stored cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that someone clicked on the ad and was redirected to our website.
Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie, which means cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers.

Information about Google’s Privacy Shield certification and further details about data processing by Google in the use of Google services can be found in this privacy notice under “Information on Google Services.”

The legal basis for this described processing of personal data is the FADP.

For more information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy, available at:
www.google.com/policies/privacy/

https://privacy.google.com/take-control.html?categories_activeEl=sign-in

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” text files that are stored on your device and that enable an analysis of how you use the websites you visit. Google Analytics may also use “web beacons” (invisible graphics).
Through these web beacons, information such as visitor traffic on websites can be analyzed. The information generated by cookies and web beacons about your use of our website (including the user’s IP address) is transmitted to a Google server, possibly in the USA or other third countries, and stored there. This information may also be passed on by Google to its contractual partners.

Information about Google’s Privacy Shield certification and further relevant details regarding Google’s data processing in connection with Google services can be found in this privacy notice under “Information on Google Services.”

The following types of data are processed by Google:
Online identifiers (including cookie IDs)
IP address
Device identifiers

Further detailed information about the processed data can be found at:
https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/#infocollect under “Data we collect based on your use of our services,”
and also at:
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/adsservices/.

We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization (“anonymize IP”) enabled.
This ensures that your IP address is shortened by Google within Europe. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

We have also concluded a data processing agreement with Google (Art. 28 GDPR) for the use of Google Analytics.
Google processes the data on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide further services related to website and internet usage.
Google may transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

By using Google Analytics, we aim to analyze user behavior on our website and respond accordingly to continuously improve our offering.

The legal basis for the described processing of personal data is the FADP.

Under our processing agreement, Google is authorized to appoint subcontractors.
A list of these subprocessors can be found here:
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/subprocessors/

The processed information is stored only as long as necessary for its intended purpose or as required by law.

For more details on data handling in connection with Google Analytics, please refer to Google’s privacy policy:

Information about Google’s privacy settings can be found here:
https://privacy.google.com/take-control.html?categories_activeEl=sign-in

Deletion of Data

We generally delete personal data when there is no longer any necessity for further storage.
A necessity may exist, for example, if the data is still required to fulfill contractual obligations, to verify, grant, or defend warranty and guarantee claims.
In cases of statutory retention obligations, deletion is only possible once the respective retention period has expired.

Data Security

We secure our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, unauthorized access, alteration, or distribution of your data by unauthorized persons.
Despite regular controls, complete protection against all risks is not possible.
